What does Wimbledon make you think of ?????

Strawberries

I have been making Strawberries as seen in the new Mollie Makes magazine.
Sadley I missed out on issue 1 ( now selling at over £20 on ebay )
I did however manage to get issue 2 and will now have the pleasure of it landing on my doormat each month.

So anyway now I have a few strawberry pin cushions. With a few more unfinished ones tucked away.

Thanks for popping by x

Rain = Knitting

I had work today. On a normal June saturday I would hate this.
However today was wet and windy in my neck of the woods so I was not to worrid. Once home and with a nice hot drink by my side I decided to start on the new ball of wool I bought this week.

After not very long I had the start of something quite pretty that made my day a little brighter.

Sadly I have work again tomorrow, at least I have something to keep me warm if its a horrid day again.

Hope you are enjoying your crafts this weekend. x

sometimes its worth the wait.

It has been a while since I blogged anything, however I could not let this pass without a post.
I recently spent a wonderful day at Pickleberry Papercrafts making something beautiful with the truly fantastic Jane Dean. (Yes you are Jane x)

The day was spent creating this....

There is no glue involved this it compleatly stitched together. fabric and paper alike.

I am going to use mine to store business cards in. I have collected a few on my travels that I have already sewn in. However I am on the hunt for more. So if you have a card that I could add, I would love to see it in my book.

I am going to collect lots of gumph when we go off to the New Forest later this year and make one all about out Holiday. I cant wait.

Well I expect you have seen enough now so I shall love you and leave you.
If anyone did pop by Huge Thanks.
Leave a little comment and I promise to use the link to pop by your blog and in return share the love. x x x

A lovely weekend

This weekend has been just lovely.
Yesterday was a beautiful day so the boys and I spent time on the village green at the front of our house. One of the perks of living where we do.
Then it was into our back garden to practice out sitting pikes on the trampoline. Of course I had to explain how to do this visually to the boys. This earned me huge points on the mummy is cool board. woo hoo!!!

Cake making next, it was a bit of an Easter twist on a recipe given to me for
Mars Bar Squares.

All in all we had a great day.

Then today Mothers day, another wonderful day.
We journeyed up to Buntingford to spend the day with relatives.
After a fantastic Sunday Roast we went for a walk to make room for tea and cakes. yum yum.

The boys loved the hedges at the bowling green.

I loved this little house.

More great Topiary

I love our little walks.

Sadly the day came to an end and we had to drive home.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. x

Pretty post

I had some lovely post arrive in the form of bakers twine.
Whilst away at the weekend a friend recomended 'The Ribbon Girl' So as soon as I got back I had to take a look at the web site. Sure enough they have lots of great ribbon, twine etc.
Here are a few of the colours I ordered.

Here is a quick picture of some of the Lo's I did whilst away. I cheated on these most of them being lifted from more talented people.

Not sure why but blogger seems to prefer this picture on its side.

Enjoy the weekend x

Baby girl

I have been in the garden today enjoying the beautiful weather we are getting right now.
Moving house has left me with so so much to do.
I am not yet really settled inside but it will do for now, so I thought I would try to do a little in the garden. I shall post some pics when it looks a little better.

Last weekend was spent with two girlfriends on a scrapbooking weekend. I did not finish that many LO's but I did have a fantastic time. Photos to follow.

I do have a photo of a card I finished today. I hope you like it. x

A card for Rick

Hi all, don't know about you but I am kinda pleased that January is on its way out.

Thought I would share a card I was asked to make for card playing Rick.
I got the cards out of a Christmas cracker.
I knew there was a reason to never get rid of anything.

Wishing you all a great week. x
