Armed Forces weekend

Brighton
Well today we decided on a trip to Brighton for a picnic on the beach. After a long search for a car park space, we had to eventually park in the shopping centre. Shopping was not the plan but as we were leaving the car park I saw Cath Kidston carrier bags. These where all the more pleasing to the eye as they had the word SALE on them. So that was it, shopping had to come 1st, Picnic 2nd.
I was a little sad to see that the purse that I have only had a few months is now in the sale so along with a few sale bits I also treated myself to the picnic rug I have had on my wish list for a while now.
I took a few pics on the beach and although it look overcast it was very warm and there where folk swimming in the sea.
On the way back to the car we passed Choccywoccydoodah and I could not pass by without a good nose round and a few pictures of the most fabulous chocolate creations.
I am a chocoholic and have already eaten 2 bars whilst writing this blog, but how anyone could destroy these by eating them is beond me. They are fantastic.

Sat 27th June 2009 Armed Forces Day
This was the 1st ever Armed forces day and with our connections to the forces we went along to Battersea Park London to show our support. It was not what we expected to say the least, however the boys enjoyed it and loved running around the park. Harley also was asked to be in a photo for the Wandsworth Guardian, so if any one gets it, save me a copy. x
I hope a good weekend was had by all and that you are ready for the heatwave that is to join us tomorrow.
Please leave a comment even if it is just a quick 'hello'. It makes me smile to know I have had visitors.

Loving the sunshine today.

I finished another page.

I finished another scrapaholix page, hope you like it. I have so so many unfinished pages I find it a real lift when I get one finished.
Trying something new.
Today I decided to have a go at something new. I found a link to this through another blog (If it was yours thank you). I have done so much blog hopping that I can't remember who's blog it was, Sorry.
Anyway I made this cute little pin cushion all based around the lid of a fizzy drinks bottle. I think I will be making a few more of these with more detail.

Trying to make a rented house feel like Home.
We live in a rented house and not being able to decorate as we would like makes it hard to feel at home. I find that because of this I love the little things all the more. Here are some of the things I love having around.
Oh yes there is so much. I just love cute pretty little things. I cant get enough of them, and I am sure there will be more to follow.

Scrapaholix

As I dont get much time to scrap at home I really enjoy the time I spend at Scrapaholix. I like that I get to try new things and that the kits are not always what I would buy and that no matter how much I dislike the papers I always like what we do with them.

The best thing has to be the people. Before I took the plunge and went on my own to the West Kingsdown group, I knew no one who scrapped. I have to say what a great group of people they are and thanks Gen for running a fab group.

I love it so much that waiting a whole month till our next meeting was just to long so I also joined the Sidcup group and that is where I made this LO. Louise had done it as an example and I loved it. She got the sketch but cant remember where, so if it was your idea let us know we loved it.

This is the 1st title done with my slice.
