What does Wimbledon make you think of ?????

Strawberries

I have been making Strawberries as seen in the new Mollie Makes magazine.
Sadley I missed out on issue 1 ( now selling at over £20 on ebay )
I did however manage to get issue 2 and will now have the pleasure of it landing on my doormat each month.

So anyway now I have a few strawberry pin cushions. With a few more unfinished ones tucked away.

Thanks for popping by x

Rain = Knitting

I had work today. On a normal June saturday I would hate this.
However today was wet and windy in my neck of the woods so I was not to worrid. Once home and with a nice hot drink by my side I decided to start on the new ball of wool I bought this week.

After not very long I had the start of something quite pretty that made my day a little brighter.

Sadly I have work again tomorrow, at least I have something to keep me warm if its a horrid day again.

Hope you are enjoying your crafts this weekend. x

sometimes its worth the wait.

It has been a while since I blogged anything, however I could not let this pass without a post.
I recently spent a wonderful day at Pickleberry Papercrafts making something beautiful with the truly fantastic Jane Dean. (Yes you are Jane x)

The day was spent creating this....

There is no glue involved this it compleatly stitched together. fabric and paper alike.

I am going to use mine to store business cards in. I have collected a few on my travels that I have already sewn in. However I am on the hunt for more. So if you have a card that I could add, I would love to see it in my book.

I am going to collect lots of gumph when we go off to the New Forest later this year and make one all about out Holiday. I cant wait.

Well I expect you have seen enough now so I shall love you and leave you.
If anyone did pop by Huge Thanks.
Leave a little comment and I promise to use the link to pop by your blog and in return share the love. x x x

A lovely weekend

This weekend has been just lovely.
Yesterday was a beautiful day so the boys and I spent time on the village green at the front of our house. One of the perks of living where we do.
Then it was into our back garden to practice out sitting pikes on the trampoline. Of course I had to explain how to do this visually to the boys. This earned me huge points on the mummy is cool board. woo hoo!!!

Cake making next, it was a bit of an Easter twist on a recipe given to me for
Mars Bar Squares.

All in all we had a great day.

Then today Mothers day, another wonderful day.
We journeyed up to Buntingford to spend the day with relatives.
After a fantastic Sunday Roast we went for a walk to make room for tea and cakes. yum yum.

The boys loved the hedges at the bowling green.

I loved this little house.

More great Topiary

I love our little walks.

Sadly the day came to an end and we had to drive home.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. x

Pretty post

I had some lovely post arrive in the form of bakers twine.
Whilst away at the weekend a friend recomended 'The Ribbon Girl' So as soon as I got back I had to take a look at the web site. Sure enough they have lots of great ribbon, twine etc.
Here are a few of the colours I ordered.

Here is a quick picture of some of the Lo's I did whilst away. I cheated on these most of them being lifted from more talented people.

Not sure why but blogger seems to prefer this picture on its side.

Enjoy the weekend x

Baby girl

I have been in the garden today enjoying the beautiful weather we are getting right now.
Moving house has left me with so so much to do.
I am not yet really settled inside but it will do for now, so I thought I would try to do a little in the garden. I shall post some pics when it looks a little better.

Last weekend was spent with two girlfriends on a scrapbooking weekend. I did not finish that many LO's but I did have a fantastic time. Photos to follow.

I do have a photo of a card I finished today. I hope you like it. x

A card for Rick

Hi all, don't know about you but I am kinda pleased that January is on its way out.

Thought I would share a card I was asked to make for card playing Rick.
I got the cards out of a Christmas cracker.
I knew there was a reason to never get rid of anything.

Wishing you all a great week. x

Its been a while.

Well its been quite while but hopefully I am back.
I have had problems with blogger for ages and being that I am not all that fab with computers and with the man of the house working overseas (Bloody Army) it just had to wait.
Well he paid us a flying visit and top of the list for jobs that needed to be done was to sort out my blog. I hope this works as next visit is not till April.
I have thankfully been able to keep visiting all you wonderful blogs and occasionally even post a comment or two. Like you I have also been very busy just unable to post what I have been doing.
I hope that over the next few weeks I will be able to post a few of the goings on in the strange life that I lead.

Since I have been gone

My Husband was home

We went for a week away with his folks

We went Camping

My baby started school

We visited The Eden Project

We moved to a new house

We had Christmas

Of course there was a lot going on between things as well as a little crafting, but I will share that with you at a later date.

Until then I hope I still have a few followers and look forward to sharing my life and creations with you. x x x

Tidy

Whilst the table is clear of all my crafting goodness I thought I should take a few photos. If only to prove that there really is a table under all the paper that is usually housed there.
It wont stay like this for long thats for sure. x

Knitting on cocktail sticks

I thought I would have a go at knitting on cocktail sticks late last night.
I remembered how to cast on and knit but thats as far as it goes for me. So I made my efforts into this.
I am so in love with easel cards. It will be such a surprise when they open the card.
Think I will make a few more of these to store away ready. x

My sons 1st great loss

Today Harley lost his first tooth. Oh and what a drama it was.
He has had a wobbly one for a few weeks now and oddly enough went to the dentist today. After arriving home the boys where having a kick about and Harley got a ball in the face. He was so worried about his tooth bless him. About 30 mins latter he was 'just checking'  it and out it came. If it was not for the blood I think he would have been fine. Oh the tears, boy did they flow.

Once I told him he would be able to drink with a straw in the gap that his tooth had left behind and that the tooth fairy may even leave him some money tonight he was fine.
Just had to record this moment here until I get time to scrap it. x

Retreat LO's

Hi
I hope you have all been enjoying the wonderful weather we have been having over the last few days. I know I have, I even have an ever so slightly pink nose to prove it.

Well I thought it about time to share a few more LO's from the retreat. So here goes....

My little man used to hate Ice cream but developed a sudden  liking for it last summer. That was as long as it was Chocolate.

ARHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Why does it do that? sorry you need to lay on your left side to see this one. x
I love these pics and I am sure I will scrap them over and over. They where taken in a flower meadow at The New Forest show last summer. It was on one of the two afternoons that we saw the sun that week.

This LO was a kit challenge. We had to use a bit of every paper and embellishments in the kit. This photo was taken in St James park London. Oakley was one, and oh so cute. x

Why do they always pull such funny faces when asked to smile?

Ok it did it again. So this time you need to lay on your right side. lol
This is an old one. My self and my brother taken at Hastings about 29 years ago. Notice the cute little monkey. x

Well lets hope this weather lasts. Enjoy it x

Great weekend

I have had a fantastic weekend. I have been away on a retreat, scrapbooking day and night.
I arrived there just before 10am on Friday and scrapped away until 4:30pm on Sunday. It was fantastic, I scrapped until midnight on Friday and until 3am on Saturday.
I had lots of scrapping to do as I have not done any since the last retreat in October. Bad girl!
I took one class, 2 sketch challenges and 3 kit challenges on top of what I took with me. But enjoyed every bit.
This page won me a sketch challenge.

This one got joint first in the second sketch challenge.
It must have been a lucky photo lol.

This was the page that I did in the lovely Jo's class.

I had a wonderful time as I am sure I have already told you. Made all the better by being with great people.

I hope to share a few more of the LO's done whilst away over the next few days. So please do pop back. x

Easter weekend

I have had a very busy weekend. I have been busy creating bits and bobs for my wedding order, a little extra Easter gift for the proud new grandma and a little Easter egg hunt for the boys. Amongst other things.
It all looked a bit like this.

Place name cards done.

This cute little Pink bird house is a treat for my mother in-law. With a new granddaughter pink is the in colour right now.x
This was designed by Nichole Heady for papertrey ink.

The boys had a great time at Grandmas today hunting for eggs, then hiding them again and again for Grandad to find.

Hope you all had a great Easter. x
